In this first module, you'll learn the fundamentals of agent-based automation in n8n. We'll start by setting up your n8n environment and integrate OpenAI APIs, Claude AI and other LLM services into your workflow architecture.
Things get especially exciting when we develop practical agent workflows: you'll learn how to configure intelligent nodes that make decisions, analyze texts and react dynamically to content. We'll show you how AI agents interact with various APIs, process webhooks intelligently and understand complex data structures.
You'll be surprised how quickly you can build self-adaptive workflows with the right agent configuration — workflows that intelligently adjust to different scenarios.

What you should know
Prerequisites
For this workshop, you should bring basic knowledge of process automation or workflow design. Experience with N8N is helpful but not strictly required – we will guide you through the most important concepts. A basic understanding of APIs and webhooks is an advantage. Programming experience is not necessary, as we mainly work with N8N's visual no-code environment. No specific prior knowledge of AI or large language models is required – we start with the basics and work our way up to complex agent systems. Bring your laptop and make sure you have a stable internet connection.

Yes. We offer our n8n: Module 1 – Automation with AI Agents seminars both remotely and on-site. Thanks to our virtual classroom, you can conveniently participate in our workshops from anywhere. Our online presentations are regularly updated, and you have permanent access after the training. Exercises can be accessed and unlocked through an online interface, and we have added additional tasks to prepare you for remote workshops.
We also offer in-house seminars and public trainings on-site. In our schedule overview, you can see the respective venue of the trainings. For in-house trainings, we are happy to discuss the venue details individually with you.
For public n8n: Module 1 – Automation with AI Agents seminars, we use the online meeting tool Zoom alongside our classroom.
A test link is also included in the preparation to let you try out the technology. The remote workshop is designed so that everyone works from different locations with their own computer.
For in-house seminars, we can conduct the meeting via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
Other meeting software may be used by arrangement.
