Vue.js is enjoying growing popularity. It is a client-side JavaScript web framework for building single-page web applications.
One of the first questions about this framework is often: "How is Vue pronounced?" View? Vü? The answer can be found in the first lines of the Vue documentation and is defined as follows: Vue (pronounced /vjuː/, like view).
Vue.js is the middle ground between Angular, which is primarily designed for complex enterprise applications and is therefore very powerful, and other, less strongly structured frameworks, and React, which is a very small layer without any real specifications and thus allows a great deal of customization. Vue.js is very beginner-friendly, as it is small but nevertheless very structured in its setup.
Another special feature is that this project does not come from the forge of the big companies (Google Angular, Facebook React) but is an independent community project. The project was started by Evan You in 2013. His vision was to use the advantages of AngularJS and to create a lightweight alternative for small projects. The first release was published in 2014.
In this context, the free open source framework Nuxt.JS is very often mentioned as an extension to Vue. It is a web application framework based on Vue.js, Node.js, Webpack and Babel.js. It calls itself a "meta-framework for universal applications", which means something like a universal framework for web applications. This refers to the possibilities of creating individual components, single page applications, or even server-side rendered websites that can be optimized very well for SEO.

Vue.js topics
An intensive workshop in which you are introduced to Vue 3 using a practical example. Advanced topics are also discussed and best practices are taught. By the end of the workshop you will have developed a reference application that you can use as a blueprint for your next project.
For this we provide a REST API, which we use to walk through and build together a typical start for a single-page application.
