This intensive training makes it easier for you to get started with private cloud using OpenStack and Ceph. By the end, you'll understand the architecture, know the individual components, and be able to build, operate, configure and extend a private cloud in a lab environment. Afterwards you can continue working independently and take on typical operational tasks: updates, extensions, scaling, automation. And you'll have the tools you need to detect, analyze and fix problems.

  • Build a Ceph cluster from the ground up: architecture, deployment with Cephadm, day-to-day operations
  • Use Ceph as a storage backend for OpenStack: RBD, CephFS, object storage (S3)
  • Deploy a production OpenStack environment: multi-node setup
  • Administer the core services: Keystone, Nova, Neutron, Glance, Cinder, Horizon
  • Confident operations under real-world conditions: node replacement, high availability, updates, troubleshooting
  • Set up monitoring and logging for production: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch stack
  • Understand and configure networks: Open vSwitch, VLAN/VXLAN, floating IPs, load balancing
  • Automate your infrastructure: Ansible, Terraform, Cloud-Init
