Many people know and love the JavaScript framework Vue.js. But over the years, Vue.js gained more and more features and was used for ever larger projects. The old Vue.js API, however, struggled to keep up with these higher demands. The code became confusing.
For this reason, the API concept was rethought. A new and more flexible API was created – the Composition API.
Instead of organizing the code only with options inside one large JavaScript object, as has been the standard approach with the Options API so far, the code can now be written bundled by functionality. This makes it possible to extract repeating code fragments from a component and use them as reusable code in other components. The big advantage: it improves the organization and structuring of Vue.js applications.
For developers, this means more flexibility, better maintainability and a huge time saving.
Anyone who thinks that all Vue applications now have to be rewritten in order to use the Composition API is mistaken – the old Object API will remain part of Vue.

The technical requirement for the workshop is a notebook running Windows, Linux or macOS. You will also need Node.js with a few packages — you will receive step-by-step instructions for this after you register for this workshop.

Yes. We offer our Vue.js Composition API seminars both remotely and on-site. Thanks to our virtual classroom, you can conveniently participate in our workshops from anywhere. Our online presentations are regularly updated, and you have permanent access after the training. Exercises can be accessed and unlocked through an online interface, and we have added additional tasks to prepare you for remote workshops.
We also offer in-house seminars and public trainings on-site. In our schedule overview, you can see the respective venue of the trainings. For in-house trainings, we are happy to discuss the venue details individually with you.
For public Vue.js Composition API seminars, we use the online meeting tool Zoom alongside our classroom.
A test link is also included in the preparation to let you try out the technology. The remote workshop is designed so that everyone works from different locations with their own computer.
For in-house seminars, we can conduct the meeting via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
Other meeting software may be used by arrangement.
