Microsoft 365 Copilot: Module 1 – Fundamentals Fundamentals Training
Beginner · 5 half days or flexible as in-house training · Remote · Open Training or In-House
In 5 mornings you'll get to know Microsoft 365 Copilot from the ground up – not as a feature tour, but as a tool that you'll use in your own day-to-day work afterwards. Around 60% of the time you'll be working yourself, on your own tasks.
- Basic understanding instead of a black box: You'll understand how Copilot Chat, Copilot in the apps and Copilot Agents work together – and what Microsoft Graph, the Semantic Index and the language model each contribute.
- Putting data security in context: You'll know where your data stays, what Copilot is allowed to see and how to take permissions and Responsible AI principles into account in practice.
- Prompt engineering that works: You'll work with a clear prompt framework, improve prompts iteratively and recognise the typical mistakes that lead to generic answers.
- Your own prompt library: You'll build up a collection of reusable prompts for exactly the tasks that come up for you every week.
- Copilot in Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint: You'll create drafts, analyse data, summarise mail threads and meetings and generate presentations from existing documents.
- Building your own agents: You'll create a complete agent in the Agent Builder – with instructions, tone of voice, your own knowledge sources from SharePoint or the web and suitable starter prompts.
- Publishing and sharing: You'll bring your agent into Microsoft Teams, share it with your team or organisation and know when Copilot Studio is the better choice.
- Your own concept: At the end you'll develop a concrete agent scenario for your day-to-day work and get feedback on it – you'll leave the course with a result, not just with notes.
